Matthew is son of Dawn and Nick Stefiuk and younger to Michael. Born and raised in Canada's Captial City of Ottawa, Matthew showed interest in acting at an early age, begging his mother to find a way to put him into commercials at the age of 6 years old. He started professionally acting in 2003 after taking classes at A.C.T. Acting for Cinema and Television. His profession has taken him to places such as China and Morocco as well as enabled him to act in a film with one of his favorite actors growing up Christian Slater. Matthew has been blessed to take part in a variety of film projects that have given him the ability to delve into his favorite genres such as comedy, action and drama. He hounded his friend, director/writer Adrian Langley to shoot something that would enable him to pull a "John Woo" (in reference to the many of actors in John Woo's films that have fired two guns at the same time)and in 2007 he was lucky enough to star in and produce a feature film entilted "Donkey". His ultimate hope and goal is to work with the deeply admired directors and actors that have had a profound influence his decision pursue the art and craft of acting.

Won Award for 'Best Supporting Actor' for his work as the character 'Daisy' in the stage play "Baby With The Bathwater" while attending Carleton University.Is a teacher for young up and coming actors in Ottawa at A.C.T. (Acting for Cinema & Television).Has tattoos of two of his favorite films "True Romance" directed by Tony Scott & "The Crow" directed by Alex Proyas.His voice can be heard in the war vignettes on display at the Canadian War Museum.Graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Arts (major: History)Has performed Stand Up comedy at such popular comedy clubs like Yuk Yuks as well as Absolute Comedy.
